'Just keeping you posted: I just finished the Safety Course, thought it was excellent and took home a lot of really good information. The early 1980s Honda CB125 I was given to ride was on it's last legs, had a loose throttle, a clutch with a bad cable, and NOTHING AT ALL like my shiny, new Savage. Other classmates were on Suzuki 125s that seemed in better shape, but I wasn't as lucky. I'm still having heartache with the whole "push left-go left" theory, but it seems to work! heh-heh I guess there's no point in arguing with physics. The course made me realize just how many bad habits I was already forming, after only turning 400 miles! Good thing I got those identified...the simple things, like looking to the exit in a turn...kind of important to keeping the rubber side down. I recommend the course (if it isn't mandatory where you are) to anyone new to riding, like me. All that's left is to be legal!! Time to get a license; wish me luck.
Thanks for your support!
Happy Thumpin'!
